On Wednesday April 23rd, 2025. The commander of Regional Division 4A Mr. Simon McBean Deputy Commissioner and a team comprising of Superintendent Arjune, 2 IC 4A, Deputy Superintendent Sullivan, officer in charge of Impact Base, Woman Assistant Superintendent Blair-McGregor, Officer in charge of the # 3 Sub-Division, Sergeant Adams along with other ranks, conducted a community outreach in with residents of Lamaha Gardens and Bel Air Park at the play ground.

The Commander and team interacted with the members of the communities, where several concerns were highlighted.

Upon completion the residence thanked the police for the timely visit as they look forward to working with the police to have safer community.

On Wednesday April 23, 2025 W.Inspector Sutton-Webb, Sergeant Hicks, along with other ranks from the Brickdam Police Station conducted a walk about in the # 1 Sub-Division in the following areas:
Water Street.
Tiger Bay.
South Cummingsburg.
Main Street areas.

During the walkabout several persons were met and spoken to, including members of the Business Community's to further bolster community relations, gather feedback and address concerns highlighted to better serve and protect.

Overall, the persons applauded the Police for their efforts in engaging the community and for their continued support.

On Tuesday April 22, 2025, Inspector Morris and team of the Albertown Police Station conducted a walk about in the Albertown community to meet and interact with the people.

During the engagement with several business owners and residents several issues and concerns were highlighted and addressed, such as vehicular obstruction on the roads and noise nuisance, among others.

The residents welcomed the visit and interactions and shared their ideas as to how the police and the community can work together to achieve a safer environment.

On Wednesday April 23rd, 2025 Assistant Superintendent Boyce, Woman Assistant Superintendent Benjamin, Sergeants Hinds, Higgins along with ranks of the Ruimveldt Police Station conducted a Cummunity Outreach in the Ruimveldt community.

During the outreach the ranks met and interacted with residents and the business community to further bolster community relations, gather feedback and address concerns highlighted.
Some of the issues raised were the following:

1. The need for additional mobile patrols in the afternoon hours.
2. Petty street crimes.

Overall, persons applauded the police for the outreach as they look forward for continuous engagements.

𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐈𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 #𝟏𝟎.

On Thursday April, 24th 2025, Regional Division #10, in collaboration with the Cops and Faith Church and ranks of Region #10, held a Special Church Service at the Mackenzie Police Station Recreational Hall Mackenzie Linden.

Pastor Doolichand, delivered an inspiring message " On how to deal with adversity"

He challenged the ranks to be officers of good service noting that adversity don't last forever and to value their work. He also encouraged the ranks to rebuke and correct situation as it arises.
In addition, the ranks were asked to read the book of Proverb Chapter 24 verses 10 and Job chapter 14.

Commander Simon retoriate the sentiments of Pastor Doolichand and urged the ranks to show love, display professionalism and maintain a good relationship among fellow colleagues. He further urged the ranks to reflect on how we treat each other in times of adversity.

In his closing the Pastors greeted and applauded the ranks for their incredible hard work and dedication.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐝.

On Thursday April 24th, 2025 Woman Corporal Mc Almont the Subordinate Officer in charge of Aroaima Police Outpost along with Constables Vaughn and Williams, conducted a community engagement at Aroaima Upper Berbice River.

During the engagement with the residents and security personnel of the community the ranks elaborated on the main objective of the visit, which is to listen to their issues and concerns.

Topics discussed were:

* Cattle Rustling.

* Recruitment Drive.

* Larceny of sheep, goat and cows.

* Animals destroying agricultural products.

* Persons being security consious.

* Persons riding and driving without the necessary documents.

* Domestic Violence is zero tolerance.

Residents expressed their gratitude for the police presence in the community.

𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠

In the Mahaica Station district, there was an urgent need for road markings and signage to support smooth progression of all forms of traffic.

That task was completed owing to collaboration between the GPF Traffic Department, Regional Police and an important stakeholder, the Ministry of Public Works.

Traffic police continued the awareness efforts at Soesdyke Junction, discussing:

1. Faulty packing of load and its impact on other road users.
2. Speeding and its undesirable effects
3 Driving under the influence of alcohol and its potential to be chaotic
4. Maintenance of motor vehicles
5. Motor lorry drivers racing on the road to make more trips and posing danger to others.
6.Tinting of the front windscreen of all vehicles supports impaired driving and is unlawful
7. Use of hand-held devices while driving
8. Practice the “5 C’s” when driving
9. Wearing seat belts is not an option
10. Ensuring trays are properly covered when transporting load
11. Obscured ID Mark
12. Defective tires
13. Defective lights
14. Bar lights and coloured lights to be removed

Drivers were also reminded of the E-ticket system.

* ⁠Carrying pillion rider without safety helmet-1

* ⁠Breach of condition of provisional license

* ⁠Total = 23

On Wednesday 23rd April 2025, Woman Inspector Ross Hinds along with Sgt Layne and Constable Constantine conducted a walk about in and around the Bourda Market Area. The aim of this walkabout is to interact directly with the Public, building relationships and fostering trust.

During the walkabout the ranks interacted with Proprietors, Stall holders, Vendors and concerned citizens. Several concerns were highlighted and many views were expressed.
This initiative was applauded by most of the persons that were engaged and a request was made for more of this kind.
They were assured that the Police will continue to serve all citizens in a professional, proactive and accountable manner and that their requests will be fulfilled.

Earlier today Wednesday April 23rd, 2025, Traffic Officer's conducted an informative engagement with persons who utilize public transportation as well as the providers of such services in the busy Stabroek area. The engagement is one among many to raise awareness among all and being about meaningful change in the attitude and conduct of everyone.

Topics discussed were:

1. Obscure ID marks on vehicles are unlawful.
2. Driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding by mini bus operators is a major concern of passengers.
3. Inattentiveness is the most contributory factor to accidents, along with defective tires.
4. Overcharging Commuters
5. Having loud music or additional instruments of music to their minibus in breach of their road service license, which is an offence.
6. Soliciting of passengers.
7. Use of coloured lights on mini buses.
8. Passengers and drivers were reminded of the designated areas for bus stops encouraging safety of all and compliance with the law.
9. Report dangerous driving and other offenses to the 911 for real-time rapid response.

The public was appreciative of the police presence and for the opportunity to listen to their concerns. Drivers of mini buses were warned to comply with the law and support road safety in every aspect.

On Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, Deputy Superintendent T. Benn the Officer incharge of No #1 Sub-division in Regional Division 4A, assisted by Corporals Forde, Ceasar and woman Constable Roberts conducted a walkabout at the Seawall Band Stand Kingston Eve Leary in an effort to improve community relationship between the public and law enforcement officers.

During the walkabout the ranks interacted with the stall proprietors and staff where several concerns were highlighted, which were all addressed by Deputy Superintendent Benn.

The stall proprietors and staff thanked the ranks for listening to their concerns and ideas as they look forward for continuous visits.

On Wednesday April 23rd, 2025, Sergeant Forde, assisted by Const Bobb of Impact Base, whilst visiting ranks on beat duty conducted a walkabout within the following areas, Berbice Park, Longden Street and Stabroek Square.

During the walkabout they engaged with several stall holder, vendor and proprietors and several concerns were highlighted such as:

1. Request was made for an increase in police presence between 18:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs.

2. Concerns were raised about known characters frequenting the Stabroek square and they being facilitated by some vendors

The engagement was welcomed by the proprietors, vendors and stallholders as they requested for its continuity.
