Stake-Out Night 3 | Anti-Littering Arrests

The Director of Solid Waste Management, Walter Narine, has confirmed the arrest of Junior Paul Smith for depositing litter at Alexander Street and North Road.

Smith reportedly identified Homwanti Latchman, a vendor, as the person who gave him the garbage to dispose of. Latchman has since admitted her role.

Both individuals were placed on $10,000 bail each and are expected to make their court appearances soon.

Authorities say the crackdown forms part of nightly stake-outs aimed at tackling Georgetown’s littering problem head-on.
