With over six years of experience in the beauty industry, she built a thriving clientele through dedication, creativity, and excellence before expanding into the digital space.

Three years ago, Onika launched her first e-commerce store with little experience or capital and has since grown it into a six-figure online business.

Onika has also been providing social media support services to the Government of Guyana for the past year. As the Vice President of OMAG, she now uses her platform to inspire and empower others about the positive impact of social media, how to use it responsibly, and the laws and ethics that govern it.

With a career spanning more than a decade in broadcast, print, and digital journalism, he is widely recognized for his bold interviews, credible reporting, and innovative leadership in modern Guyanese media. As President of the Online Media Practitioners and Influencers Association of Guyana (OMAG), Courdel continues to champion ethics, accountability, and growth in the digital space.

Members of the Online Media and Influencers Association of Guyana (OMAG) paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Kwame Mc Coy, Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister, this afternoon.

During the engagement, OMAG President Courdel Jones presented the association’s work plan and discussed potential areas of collaboration that are aligned with the mandate of OMAG.

Minister McCoy commended the association for taking such a bold and progressive step, noting that OMAG’s efforts will help ensure that online media practitioners and influencers are included in opportunities that promote transparency and accuracy across social media platforms.

The Online Media Practitioners and Influencers Association of Guyana (OMAG) is a newly established organization that brings together online media professionals and influencers committed to promoting professionalism, transparency, and social responsibility across Guyana’s digital platforms.

Formed in recognition of the powerful role digital media plays in shaping public discourse, cultural identity, and national development, OMAG is dedicated to fostering ethical and responsible content creation while building public trust.

The association’s key objectives include establishing and upholding ethical standards in digital media, while encouraging professionalism, integrity, and accountability among its members. OMAG also aims to provide a platform for continuous learning and capacity building in media and content creation. Additionally, the association advocates for transparency in partnerships, including sponsorship and endorsement disclosures, to safeguard audiences from misleading information and promote greater trust within the digital space.
