Leonard To is an award-winning composer, producer, sound designer, audio engineer, voice coach based in Hong Kong.
Starting the group “Third Party” during his teenage years, his original song won the Champion of the Inter-School Song Composition Competition. A self-published album with 10 original songs followed before he further his studies in the States.
Enrolled in Berklee College of Music in Boston to study composing, Leonard would return to Hong Kong and released another album under Sound Factory label. The group performed in schools, bars, concert halls, on radio and TV, and even the Hong Kong Coliseum.
Work-wise, Leonard joined the music production company Blue Max as a composer / producer. Working under renowned songwriter Mahmood Rumjahn 林慕德, Leonard experienced scoring music to videos. He left the company later to work with an ex-colleague, Peter Kam 甘培達 on jingles production. While Peter become increasingly involved in film scoring (and went on to win numerous music awards internationally), Leonard began his own company as an independent.
