Tucked away in the buzzing heart of Lan Kwai Fong, there’s a pizzeria that locals whisper about and tourists accidentally stumble upon. The place? BACI.

🔥 Their secret? Authentic Italian flavors that taste like a direct flight to Naples (without the jet lag). From controversial pineapple toppings to handmade beetroot ravioli, every dish here has a story and trust me, you’ll want the whole chapter.

So, is this Hong Kong’s BEST pizza? You’ll have to watch to decide. But warning: once you see that cheese pull, there’s no going back.

When you land in Hong Kong, it’s impossible not to feel it the rush of the city, the energy, the noise, the colors. ✨

For Merryn Trevethan, an Aussie painter, that chaos isn’t overwhelming it’s inspiring. She captures the electric heartbeat of Hong Kong in her bold, colorful works.

For Damian Boylan, a British aerospace engineer turned artist, Hong Kong sparked something unexpected: sound sculptures. Art, you don’t just see you actually hear.

This is their story.

This isn’t just about mahjong.
It’s about tradition.
It’s about a man who refuses to let his father’s legacy die in the neon shadows of Hong Kong.

At 70 years old, Uncle Cheung one of the last Mahjong masters still sits at his bench, carving each tile by hand.
His shop, Biu Kee Mahjong, named after his father, is more than a store. It’s a living museum.

But time, landlords, and a fast-changing society are closing in.
👉 He was evicted in 2022, and yet… he says he’ll keep going until his hands can’t carve anymore.

🀄 The question is:
Will there still be a place for handmade mahjong in our world today?
Or will this craft disappear forever with him?

✨ Imagine walking into a room and seeing 216 faces staring back at you. Different skin tones. Different hairstyles. Different stories. Yet all belonging to one city Hong Kong.

That’s exactly what artist Sophia Hotung created: a massive 3x6 meter mural capturing the real Hong Kongers beyond the stereotypes.

But here’s the twist Sophia wasn’t always an artist.
She was climbing the corporate ladder until illness forced her to pause. What could’ve been an ending became her turning point. With brush strokes and bold colors, she transformed her struggle into a spotlight, showing the world what resilience looks like.

Her work isn’t just art, it’s a message:
👉 Hong Kong isn’t one face.
👉 It’s a community of many stories.
👉 And those stories deserve to be seen.

At 62 years old, Chef Nobuhiro Sunada could have retired.
Instead, he’s rolling up his sleeves in Hong Kong, determined to introduce a dish many locals have never truly experienced: Tsukemen. 🍜✨

Unlike ramen, these noodles aren’t swimming in broth—they’re dipped, bite by bite, into a rich, flavorful soup. The result? A deeper, bolder taste that leaves people obsessed.

Customers can’t stop coming back. One diner told us:

“Ever since I found this place a couple weeks ago, I can’t stop thinking about it.”

Chef Sunada believes food doesn’t need to be complicated
“As long as diners feel the food is delicious, then that’s OK.” 🙌

But here’s the catch… Tsukemen shops like this don’t stay hidden for long. Once the secret’s out, the lines will stretch around the block.

They launched right in the middle of the COVID pandemic, not the easiest time to drop an Indian street-food takeaway in Hong Kong. But Vidur and Tanvir believed in the magic of their Kathi rolls. They wondered, “Would people actually crave this kind of Indian cuisine… would they still love it?” From screens and shuttered storefronts, they pushed forward.

Guess what happened?

Despite lockdowns, they were selling around 8,000 Kathi rolls every single month. Yes, you read that right, 8,000 rolls a month! Their secret? Passion, adaptability, and staying true to real, punchy street-food flavors far beyond butter chicken and garlic naan.

If you're into inspiring biz stories that taste like adventure this one’s for you.
