Every year, a certain farmer amazed the community with his prize-winning corn, consistently earning the top award for the best-grown crop. His corn was unmatched—golden, healthy, and abundant. Intrigued by his continued success, a newspaper reporter visited the farmer to uncover his secret.

During the interview, the reporter stumbled upon something unexpected. The farmer didn’t just keep his best seed corn for himself—he shared it freely with his neighbors.

Shocked, the reporter asked, “Why would you give away your best seed to the very people competing against you in the contest? Doesn’t that put your own victory at risk?”

The farmer smiled and replied, “Sir, don’t you know? The wind carries pollen from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will inevitably lower the quality of my own crop. The only way for me to continue growing excellent corn is to help my neighbors grow excellent corn as well.”

Life is no different. Those who seek true success, fulfillment, and happiness must uplift others along the way. The worth of a life is measured not by what we hoard for ourselves, but by how much we give. And just as the farmer’s prosperity depended on his neighbors, so too does our well-being depend on the kindness we extend to those around us.
