BS 5467 Armoured Power Cables, 600/1000V。These cables are used for power and control circuits, they can offer excellent protection through the use of a heavy galvanized steel wire armour. The GSWA makes them suitable for use inside and outside buildings or for direct burial in the ground.

Industrial cables（U-1000 R2V） for energy distribution are suitable for all types of low voltage industrial-type connection, in urban grids, building installations, etc. Particularly suited in cases of high operating temperature and when high resistance to solar radiation and atmospheric agents is required. Good resistance to low temperature and chemical agents. Can be used without additional mechanical protection in the open air, fixed to walls or in raceways, inside walkways, and in empty in Cable Constructions in general. Can be laid underground with mechanical protection constructed from slabs, tiles, or bricks. They are not recommend to lay this cable in ground flooded for more than two months per year. With appropriate mechanical protection it can be use in areas subject to risk of explosion, but in this case the permitted current load is reduced by 15%.

Industrial Cables(H05VV-F/SJT) are suited to be used for cooking and heating apparatus under the condition that cable does not come in direct contact with hot parts of the apparatus and no other influences or heat. The cables are suitable for fixed installation in furniture, partition walls, decoration covering and in hollow spaces of prefabricated building parts. They are not suitable for use in open air, in industries (also permitted to tailor workshops and of that kind) and in agriculture plants and for connecting commercial electrical tools.

(H07V-K)These are not suitable to be installed for laying in tubes, under and surface mounting of plaster and also in closed installation conduits. These are not allowed to install for direct laying on cable trays, channel or tanks. These types are permitted for the inner wiring of equipment, distributor and switchboards and also for protective laying to the lightings with a nominal voltage up to 1000 V alternating current or up to 750 V direct current against earth.

Industrial halogen-free cables are indicated for use in electric circuits for fire detection, alarms, pushbuttons, detectors, etc. Furthermore, this cable guarantees compliance with the applicable legislation, satisfying the fire resistance standard UNE-EN 50200, thus maintaining the operation of the installations when subject to fire, for 90 minutes at 400ºC, as established by the REBT in its ITC 28 “public premises”. Subject to fire it does not emit acid or toxic gases so it guarantees the safety of people and of the installations.

The Powerhard M cable’s(RVMV & VVMV) design is especially suitable for fixed installation in potentially explosion hazard locations. It is highly recommended for use in petrol stations, petrochemical plants, flammable product warehouses, etc. At the same time, it can be used in installations such as production plants, agricultural facilities, street lighting and installations in general where the cable is subject to risk of mechanical aggression.

They are highly recommended for use in installations in warehouses, production plants and agricultural facilities where the presence of rodents could imply a threat to cable integrity. At the same time, its use is recommended for street lighting installations. In some cases, these cables are used in those places where there is a potential explosion hazard such as petrol stations or flammable product warehouses.

The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge (HZMB) is a 55-kilometre (34 mi) bridge–tunnel system consisting of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands. It is both the longest sea crossing and the longest open-sea fixed link in the world. The HZMB spans the Lingding and Jiuzhou channels, connecting Hong Kong, Macau, and Zhuhai—three major cities on the Pearl River Delta.

The HZM Bridge was designed to last for 120 years and cost ¥127 billion (US$18.8 billion) to build. The cost of constructing the Main Bridge was estimated at ¥51.1 billion (US$7.56 billion) funded by bank loans and shared among the governments of mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Originally set to be opened to traffic in late 2016, the structure was completed on 6 February 2018 and journalists were subsequently taken for a ride over the bridge. On 24 October 2018, the HZMB was opened to the public after its inauguration a day earlier by Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

Caledonian was honored to be involved in this project and had supplied low voltage power cables, instrumentation cables to Beijing Rate Electronic Technology Developing Co., Ltd.
