Shellac treasure on Christmas Eve: in a way connected to the eternal problem of this time of year: What should I treat myself or my sweetheart to under the Christmas tree? A possible answer: A fresh hat will make the new season so much better!

"Miss Molly's New Hat" is the brilliant musical answer from the Erhard Bauschke Orchestra. A swinging foxtrot from the film "The Stars Are Shining," sung in Spanish by Rosita Serrano and in German by Rose Rauch (scene photo), but unfortunately, there's no recording of her singing it.
By the way the Erhard Bauschke Band was the legendary house band of the „Moka Efti Café“ which is well known from the „Babylon Berlin“ TV series.

Shellac Treasure on December 23rd: An interesting face from German film, although she is actually only seen or heard in striking supporting roles as a r***e singer and on a few records. On this 1936 recording, Rose Rauch (even anonymously) sings the Shirley Temple hit "Polly Wolly Doodle" with swinging accompaniment by the Ludwig Rüth Orchestra.
