HKCR proposes a cross‑disciplinary programme for the M+ Asian Avant-Garde Festival .mplus that spotlights a new generation of sonic and performance artists.
In collaboration with Korean artist , the project brings together sound, visual language, and performance to create an immersive platform for raw, youth-driven experimentation, foregrounding instinct, immediacy, and emotional intensity over technical virtuosity.
The programme features Happy Wheels presents Skate Noise x Park Daham, where everyday urban skateboard sounds—often dismissed as noise—are collected, processed, and amplified into an immersive wall of sound, originating from the first Skate Noise performance in on 15/11/2025.
Also included is , a Cantonese-Malaysian audiovisual artist crafting a personal form of cinema that honours endurance and decay through KTV live sets blending drone music and trance vocals; performing atop scrap cars and within club spaces, they produce lush yet brutal sonic artefacts that pursue an egoless truth, where a single note stretches, accumulates, and dissolves into nothing.
Together, these artists reflect the shifting cultural realities of Hong Kong and the region, bringing voices shaped by DIY communities, digital subcultures, and lived urban experience into the institutional frame, and positioning M+ as a site for emerging, boundary-pushing practices in Asian sonic and visual experimentation.
