🍕 The Pizza Bar on 38th Comes to Hong Kong 🇭🇰

For four days only, the legendary The Pizza Bar on 38th from Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is popping up in Hong Kong — and it’s everything a pizza purist could dream of.

From 19 to 22 June, acclaimed Chef Daniele Cason brings his omakase-style Roman “pizza alla pala” to Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, as a teaser for the hotel’s forthcoming pizzeria (yes, it’s happening). Think 48-hour fermented dough, blistered crusts, and toppings that marry Italian tradition with Japanese finesse — Wagyu, warayaki tuna, baby corn, fennel duck sausage. It’s degustazione, but make it pizza.

Set in a transformed chef’s table space with a gourmet pizza oven, this intimate experience includes 7 standout pizzas + a Fior di latte dessert — HK$1,888 with optional wine pairings.

Beyond academics: Where curiosity, confidence and bilingualism thrive.

Step into an IMS classroom and you’ll hear it — the hum of discovery. At the International Montessori School, children learn in both English and Mandarin, collaborate across age groups, and take the lead in their own learning.

From student-led businesses to researching planetary orbits in Mandarin, IMS empowers young minds to think critically, communicate with ease, and apply knowledge in meaningful ways. Mixed-age classrooms mirror real-life workplaces, nurturing empathy, leadership, and social skills that last a lifetime.

With campuses in Mid-levels, Stanley, South Horizons and Aldrich Bay, IMS offers regular Campus Tours, Montessori Trial Classes, and parenting workshops.

Curious to see it in action? Head to to learn more.

After eight unforgettable years, .nota and will be closing their doors on 21 June 2025.

These beloved spots brought Hong Kong something truly special—from Brazilian-Japanese street eats to bold, modern Middle Eastern flavours—and became more than just restaurants. They became part of the city’s heartbeat.

Founded by siblings Alex and Laura Offe of Meraki Hospitality, both Uma Nota and BEDU have been fuelled by passion, creativity and an unwavering commitment to community. Their decision to close wasn’t easy—but it marks a pause, not a full stop.

✨ Now’s the time to go—gather your crew, relive old memories, and raise a glass one last time. Your final fill is waiting, but only until June 21.

We’re wishing the Meraki team all the best as they look ahead to new chapters in Manila, including the newly opened Uma Nota and upcoming Thai concept, Sabai.

Thank you, Uma Nota and BEDU, for the laughter, the flavours, the late nights and quiet lunches. You’ll be missed—but never forgotten. 💛

📍 BEDU | 40 Gough Street, Central

A new era begins for a local legend ✨

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong—the city’s most iconic hotel—is getting its biggest transformation yet.

From newly reimagined rooms and long-stay apartments to a chic whisky bar with a hidden cigar lounge and a holistic Wellness Club, the makeover is a bold step into the future while honouring a rich past.

Yes, the beloved Cake Shop is staying (rose petal jam pending 🤞), and an all-star dining line-up is on the way—including a new concept by Michelin-starred Daniel Boulud set atop LANDMARK PRINCE’S with harbour views and rooftop vibes.

It’s not just a renovation—it’s a reawakening of one of Hong Kong’s most storied addresses.

Renovations kick off Q2 2025. We’ll be watching closely, cocktail in hand. 🍸

Have you been to Amber since it earned its third Michelin star?

If not, now’s the time. 🍽️✨

Just months before its 20th anniversary, Amber has done what no other Hong Kong restaurant has—secured three Michelin stars and a Green Star for sustainability.
But for Culinary Director Richard Ekkebus, it’s not about resting on laurels—it’s about what comes next.

In our latest feature, he opens up about the heart-skipping moment he found out, 16 years of two-star persistence, why he still can’t sleep without writing a to-do list, and how fine dining is evolving beyond white tablecloths and crystal.

This isn’t just about a restaurant. It’s about redefining what excellence tastes like in 2025.
