The RE²AL Membership is now open. If you’re looking for a deeper relationship with your body through movement, practice, and ritual, you’ll find it through the link in my bio.
Through Olympic weightlifting, decades of training, teaching, and the many seasons of life I’ve moved through, there are a handful of practices that have stayed with me.
Not because they are impressive.
Not because they are optimal.
Because they help me stay in relationship with my body.
The older I get, the less interested I become in movement as performance and the more interested I become in movement as inquiry.
Every day, the body offers information.
It tells us where we are holding. Where we are compensating. Where we are resisting. Where we are thriving.
The question is whether we are paying attention.
The body is constantly communicating. Not through words, but through sensation, tension, ease, breath, rhythm, and instinct.
This intelligence has guided me far more reliably than any training plan ever could.
At service,
Dima
