When young talent meets timeless masterworks, a new musical dialect emerges. Seventeen-year-old violinist Mike Wong and the award-winning Lexicon String Quartet guide us through architecture of sound – from Bach’s baroque intricacies to Shostakovich’s modernist intensity.

Bach’s Sonata unveils the divine geometry of counterpoint, while Mozart’s serenade dances with Viennese grace. Beethoven’s Quartet fractures classical conventions with volcanic emotion, and Paganini’s Caprice defies earthly technique. Shostakovich’s Concerto merges lyricism with razor-edged modernity, culminating in a contemporary conversation between Eastern and Western traditions in ‘Raag’.

17歲小提琴家黃程灝與獲獎無數的Lexicon弦樂四重奏，引領聽眾穿梭聲音的建築——從巴赫的巴洛克繁複之美，到蕭斯塔科維奇的現代銳意鋒芒。

Hong Kong oboist Hoting Tsui, currently based in Europe, has been pursuing his musical studies in France and Germany after secondary education in Hong Kong. Now, as he marks his graduation, he will join hands with his longtime friend and pianist Zac Leung who graduated in the United States to present an oboe recital.
Tilted “Reeding the Contracts”, This recital features works by Telemann, Schumann, Sancan, Skalkottas, Holliger, and Hersant. It will take the audience on a journey through the Baroque period to Romantic and modern styles, beautifully illustrating the emotional depth of the oboe across diverse musical landscapes.

維也納的詩與歌：藝術歌曲之夜。

來自北京的男高音于浩涵與香港鋼琴家鄧芯怡，於維也納國立音樂與表演藝術大學相遇。二人將攜手呈獻一場Liederabend，把這項以細膩動人方式訴說故事的藝術歌曲傳統，從維也納帶回香港。

當晚以「愛」為主題，曲目包括舒曼《歌曲集》Op. 24、沃爾夫與史特勞斯的德文藝術歌曲、奎爾特的英國抒情之作、耳熟能詳的中文作品，以及由本地作曲家陳啟揚教授創作的廣東話藝術歌曲《明月幾時有》。

在這個晚上，讓我們放慢腳步，深呼吸，透過音樂重新感受愛。

Poetry & Song from Vienna: An Art Song Evening
Tenor Haohan Yu (Beijing) and pianist Monica Tang (Hong Kong) met in Vienna at the University of Music and Performing Arts. Together, they bring to Hong Kong a Viennese Liederabend: an intimate evening of storytelling through art song.

The program centers around Love, featuring Schumann’s Liederkreis Op. 24, German art songs by Wolf and Strauss, the lyrical beauty of English songs by Quilter, beloved Chinese melodies, and a Cantonese art song “Queries to the Moon” by local composer Prof. Kai-Young Chan.

This evening invites you to pause, breathe, and rediscover love through the beauty of song.
