On the last Sunday of the year, it's the traditional time to round up all the best tunes of the year, and after much deliberation the list has been whittled down to the top 20 albums and top 10 tracks. There likely won't be any time for anything else, but rest assured all the regular features will return in 2026, as well as a few of the rest of the best of the year as just 30 songs seem far too few after another great year for music.

As part of an annual tradition, China’s language magazine, Yaowen-Jiaozi, has published its list of the top 10 buzzwords for the year. The leading three buzzwords include "resilience," "embodied intelligence," and "Suchao," an amateur grassroots football league that gained immense popularity during the hot summer months.
The list continues with other entries such as “cyber reconciliation”, and “digital nomads”.

So what do these phrases mean in practice, and why were they selected as buzzwords in the first place? We’ll unpack some of the popular phrases in this the final episode for the year!
