โœจ This week on ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ ๐—•๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐˜†๐˜€, Cruzanne Macalligan speaks with Jacky Wan, senior employment partner at WISE, recruitment professional and passionate advocate for disability inclusion.

A wheelchair user with cerebral palsy, Jacky knows first-hand that accessibility isn't simply about ramps, lifts or policies. Sometimes, it means planning every journey in advance, asking whether a workplace can be reached, or relying on someone else to check a route before you can even attend a job interview.

Jacky talks about growing up in Hong Kong, how his understanding of disability has changed from seeing it as something to be fixed to recognising it as one part of a much bigger identity, and why the barriers created by society can be just as limiting as a person's physical condition.

As Jacky prepares to begin a Master of Social Work at HKU, we talk about wellbeing, work, language, universal design, the importance of asking rather than assuming, and why inclusion is ultimately about giving people the opportunity to show what they can do.

And his message for anyone facing a difficult moment? Two simple words: carry on.

"Qingming Shanghe Tu" or Along the River During the Qingming Festival, is one of the Chinese mainlandโ€™s most treasured paintings-capturing life in one of the world's most prosperous cities from nearly 1,000 years ago.

Painted as a Song Dynasty handscroll by famous Chinese painter Zhang Zeduan, it shows the daily lives of people across different social classes, from the wealthy to the working poor-along with the landscapes and activities of the capital, Bianjing (today Kaifeng in central Henan).

It's often called "China's Mona Lisa"-and now, a new, modern high-tech project is giving it an even bigger spotlight. A scholar in Hong Kong is using Al tools to create an interactive game centered on the artwork-so more people can explore the figures, details, and stories in an immersive way. So how can Al help us learn history differently? And why does Qingming Shanghetu matter so much in Chinese history?
Find out from Professor Chen Yugi, assistant professor at HKUโ€™s Faculty of Arts!
