《映言》｜全面剖析 Palani Mohan 攝影集背後的思維

國際知名攝影師 Palani Mohan 至今已出版超過十本個人攝影集。自 2003 年首本《Hidden Faces of India》起，至 2024 年最新出版的《Hong Kong》，橫跨 21 年的創作歷程，展現他作為少有的多產攝影師的堅持與深度。

本攝影集的誕生，從作品揀選、排序、設計，到紙張、裝訂的決定，甚至出版社的選擇，每一環節都必須環環相扣、貫徹主旨，才能成就一部完整而出色的出版。

Internationally acclaimed photographer Palani Mohan has published more than ten personal photobooks. Beginning with his first work Hidden Faces of India in 2003 and continuing to his most recent Hong Kong in 2024, his publishing journey spans 21 years—an impressive record that marks him as one of the rare, truly prolific photographers of our time.

Ménos《映言》首位嘉賓：Palani Mohan

Palani Mohan 是國際知名攝影師，攝齡超過 40 年，足跡遍布亞洲多國。他曾獲 World Press Photo 等國際獎項，至今出版了九本攝影集，並曾登上 TED Talks 舞台。

是次活動將圍繞Palani 多年攝影創作及製作攝影書的心得，以攝影師與攝影師之間的交流展開對話，並由此延伸更多關於攝影的思考。

此次分享會的主持是Ménos 成員李冠熹。他自澳洲求學時便投入攝影，遊歷世界探索文化，亦是資深攝影書收藏家，對攝影出版有獨到見解。

Palani 即將離開香港，這是難得近距離交流的機會。
現場有他的攝影書發售並於分享會後設有簽名環節。

Ménos《Photographic reflection》 First Guest: Palani Mohan

Palani Mohan is an internationally renowned photographer with over 40 years of experience, whose work has taken him across many countries in Asia. He has received prestigious awards including World Press Photo, published nine photobooks, and has spoken on the TED Talks stage.

This event will focus on Palani’s decades of photographic practice and his insights into photobook making, unfolding as a dialogue between photographers that extends into broader reflections on photography.

The session will be hosted by Ménos member Lee Kwun Hei , who first immersed himself in photography while studying in Australia. He has since traveled the world exploring diverse cultures and is a seasoned photobook collector with deep knowledge of photography publishing.

Palani is about to leave Hong Kong — this is a rare chance to engage with him face-to-face. His photobooks will be available for purchase, and a signing session will follow the talk.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. Interested friends, please DM to inquire.

Ménos 將舉辦全新系列活動《映言》，邀請不同攝影師一起分享創作經驗、觀看方式與拍攝背後的想法。我們希望透過攝影師與攝影師之間的交流，延伸更多關於影像的討論與可能。

Photography is not only about images, but also about conversation.

Ménos is launching a new dialogue series, Photographic Reflection, inviting photographers from different backgrounds to share their creative experiences, ways of seeing, and the thoughts behind their work. Through conversations between photographers, we hope to open up further discussion and reflection around images.
