"During a financial crisis, Haruka Nishimatsu, the CEO of Japan Airlines, reduced his own salary instead of laying off employees. He earned less than some of his pilots, rode the bus to work, and ate in the same cafeteria as his staff. No private jets, no corner office with a view, no golden parachutes.
He even removed his office door to stay accessible to everyone.
Leadership isn't about titles or perks. It's about taking care of your people, especially when things get tough.
We need more of this.
