茶，源自中國，流傳世界，是僅次於清水以外，人類飲用最多的非酒精類飲品。二千多年來，茶不僅見證了中華文化的發展，還成為了東西方生活中不可或缺的一部分。有人甚至認為，茶可被譽為中國繼指南針、火藥、造紙和印刷術之後的「第五大發明」。

作者張漢雲早年畢業自香港理工學院，是理大上海校友會創會會長，為註冊會計師並從事會計業多年，專攻會計管理範疇。作者自幼與茶結緣，隨着人生閱歷的積累，他對茶的熱愛與日俱增。本書分為三大主題，是作者多年來對茶的反思與感悟：

📢【New Book Release】My Cup of Tea 🍵

Did you know that tea is the world’s popular non-alcoholic drink after water? Originating in China, tea has shaped cultures and daily life across East and West for over two thousand years. Some even call it China’s “fifth great invention,” after the compass, gunpowder, papermaking, and printing.

Cheung Hon-wan graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic (now PolyU). He is the founding president of the PolyU Shanghai Alumni Association and is a certified public accountant with extensive experience in the accounting field, mainly focusing on management accounting. He has been passionate about tea since childhood, and his love for it has only deepened over time. In “My Cup of Tea”, he shares personal reflections and insights, inviting readers to explore tea from three unique perspectives:

☁️ “On the Heavens” — tracing the journey of Chinese tea as it spread across the globe
🌱 “On the Earth” — exploring the tea plant, tea leaves, and the role of tea in everyday life

PolyU CBS Collaborates with Springer Nature to Publish Book Series on AI in Humanities 📖

The Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies (CBS) of PolyU has forged an exciting partnership with global academic publisher Springer Nature. The collaboration was celebrated with a signing ceremony and forum on 12 May, featuring Prof. Li Ping, Dean of Faculty of Humanities, Sin Wai Kin Foundation Professor in Humanities and Technology, Chair Professor of Neurolinguistics and Bilingual Studies, and Ms. Myriam Poort, Vice President of Humanities Publishing at Springer Nature, alongside faculty members and distinguished guests.

United by a shared vision to explore generative AI’s transformative role in the humanities, this partnership reflects PolyU’s unwavering commitment to advancing research at the intersection of generative AI and the humanities, as well as highlighting CBS’s strategic position as a leader in driving language-focused innovation for the digital age. 💡

Two book series: “Generative AI and the Humanities” and “SpringerBriefs in AI-Enhanced Language Research”, will be launched under the collaboration, aiming to create a global platform for reimagining how GenAI can deepen our understanding of language, culture, and creativity. 🤖

理大與細胞出版社合辦的「Nexus Forum 2025」於5月8日至10日圓滿舉行，吸引逾170位來自世界各地的學術專家、作者、領事館及業界代表，以及超過300名理大師生參與。🙌

理大校長滕錦光教授表示，論壇彰顯理大致力於推動開創性研究和學術發展的承諾。副校長（研究及創新）趙汝恒教授、高等研究院院長兼建築環境及能源工程系建築熱科學講座教授陳清焰教授，以及能源與建築講座教授兼Nexus主編嚴晉躍教授亦於開幕禮上歡迎各與會者。

為期三天的論壇以「協同創新，賦能智慧可持續發展」為主題🌳，設有專題講座、研討會、成果匯報會及編輯工作坊，旨在推動跨學科研究及創新交流。🗪 主講嘉賓包括牛津大學環境變化研究院院長Michael Obersteiner教授、中國工程院院士賀克斌教授、塗善東教授、瑞典駐香港及澳門總領事Louise Bergholm女士、理大人工智能高等研究院執行院長楊紅霞教授等多位學術與業界翹楚 。

PolyU and Cell Press successfully co-hosted the Nexus Forum 2025 from 8–10 May, attracting over 170 global participants and over 300 PolyU staff and students. 🙌

Prof. Jin-Guang Teng, PolyU President; Prof. Christopher Chao, Vice President (Research and Innovation); Prof. Qingyan Chen, Chair Professor of Building Thermal Science and Director of the PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research, and Prof. Jerry Yan, Chair Professor of Energy and Buildings and Editor-in-Chief of Nexus welcomed attendees from around the world. Prof. Jin-Guang Teng remarked that the Nexus forum reflects PolyU’s unwavering dedication to pioneering research and scholarship.

Themed “Collaborative Innovation for Smart Sustainable Development” 🌳, the three-day forum featured keynote speeches, a panel discussion, oral and poster presentations, and an editorial workshop. 🗪 Distinguished keynote speakers included Prof. Michael Obersteiner, Director of Environmental Change Institute of University of Oxford; Prof. He Kebin and Prof. Tu Shandong, Members of Chinese Academy of Engineering; Ms Louise Bergholm, Consul General of Sweden to Hong Kong and Macau; Prof. Yang Hongxia, Executive Director of PAAI; as well as other scholars and representatives of the fields.
