भूतपूर्व सैनिक, सफल मार्शल आर्टिस्ट, विश्वभर रहेका नेपालीहरूमा चर्चित र अति आदरणीय तुल्सीकुमार गुरूङले रोयल आर्मी फिजिकल ट्रेनिङ कोरमा १८ वर्षको उत्कृष्ट सेवापछि वारण्ट अफिसर क्लास II भई अवकाश लिनु भएको थियो। गुरुङ पहिलो गोर्खा सैनिक हुनुहुन्थ्यो जसलाई आर्मी फिजिकल ट्रेनिङ इन्स्ट्रक्टर क्लास वनको रूपमा चयन गरियो, जुन गोर्खा सैनिकहरूका लागि ठूलो उपलब्धि मानिन्थ्यो।
एक खेलाडीका रूपमा, गुरुङले हङकङ, ब्रिटिश आर्मी, र नेपाललाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय ताइक्वाण्डो प्रतियोगितामा प्रतिनिधित्व गर्नु भएको थियो। उहाँले जीवनमा धेरै मेडल जित्नु भएको छ। हालै मात्र उहाँले ९ डिग्री ब्ल्याक बेल्ट प्राप्त गर्नु भएको थियो। २०१३ सालदेखि ५ वर्षसम्म हङकङको राष्ट्रिय ताइक्वाण्डो टोलीका प्रमुख प्रशिक्षकका रूपमा सेवा गर्नु भएको थियो।
