Today I started working on a new project and I am SO excited to share it with you all!😍

I often search for new projects to work on and to be honest, it is hard to find a good quality copyright free film that also includes all of the sound design and effects. Well, recently I stumbled upon a video like that and I’m so excited to share the outcome once everything is done. Make sure to stay tuned because I’m going to be sharing it here! Also, another project i’m working on right now is coming out very soon, but more on that another time!🎬✨

Ever wondered what a composer gets up to behind the scenes?🔍
Here’s a little insight into a day in my life!☺️

My mornings usually start around 8am. I like to take some time for myself in the morning because I usually work until late afternoon hours. After I do that, I make sure to check my emails and plan my work day accordingly. I arrive to the studio at 10am, take care of everything that I know will take me a short amount of time to do and then start focusing on the bigger projects. In the next 3-5 hours I research, compose / produce and mix, depending on what is needed that day. After I’m done with my work, I like to read a chapter of a book (currently reading Sound for moving pictures by Neil Hillman) and then start packing up for the day. I usually leave anywhere between 4 to 7pm depending on the amount of work I have for that day. Sometimes I stay even longer if there’s something that needs immediate attention. Otherwise, I like to spend the evening with my loved one, family or friends!👯‍♂️❣️

So often I get asked about what my favourite thing is about being a music producer / composer. And to be honest with you, I can never narrow it down to just one thing.

To me, being a music producer / composer is much more than just a job. I LOVE what I do and the best thing in the world is being able to get a mute film and bring it to life by creating music. To be able to unravel those different and complex emotions in the film and to experience those feelings every single time, no matter how many times I do it. I love creative challenges and barriers that film carries because those limitations like the length, the pace and the tone of the scene are definitely the challenges that push my creativity most!💡

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is this…🤓

When interacting with a client, you have to not only approach the project as a music producer, but you also have to step into the shoes of being a psychologist. Learn how to read between the lines when speaking to your client and pay close attention to the choice of words they’re using when describing their wishes. By doing so, you’ll know exactly which way to go musically!💎
