Merle Jacob, Professor of Research Policy at Lund University, Sweden, studies how research funding shapes priorities and reorganises research systems.

Her PUBMET2025 keynote, “Leveraging Multilevel Governance to Achieve Excellence and National Research System Diversity”, will explore how EU research funding sets the tone for national policies, and why maintaining diversity in the research ecosystem matters more than ever.
