ix from around 2016. Even though I wasn't making music yet at the time, and I was still ridiculously young, I felt then—and I still feel now—that it marked a boundary.
Beautifully encapsulating the era that came before it, this mix is packed with tracks that became milestones in club music. Lately, I often find myself feeling that from this point onward, things only went downhill. There have been new developments that brought fresh energy and innovation, but somehow the average standard seems to have dropped.
I don't know what the future holds, but I can only hope that one day I'll get to hear true legends again.
