We had a few extra faces tagging along with us this October! You may recognize Julia and Nicola from Sherbrooke! They both came to visit us and partake in our ministry work here in Budapest at the end of October! It was truly amazing to introduce Budapest to such a precious part of our time in Lennoxville! We also just loved getting to host these ladies! The girls were a great help in serving the young adults, partaking in our bible study, leading worship and more! It was such a joy and blessing 🥰

This is our little pottery studio that we set up in the coffee house basement. We have made great memories here doing various kinds of workshops, getting to meet knew people, learn more about each other, share and experience trying a new hobby, and even sharing a few chocolate bars pre and post workshops. We’re truly blessed! Can’t wait to plan the upcoming workshop schedule for the fall! 🥰

We landed in 3 countries, crossed 3 provinces, 5 states, occupied 10 different beds (and some makeshift beds), travelled ~ 15,390 kms, connected with dozens of new people, slept minimally, feasted greatly, celebrated new life and love, grieved a few losses, reunited and said our see you laters once again. 42 days later and we are grateful, and yet sad thinking about those we couldn’t make it to see. So much done in such little time and it all passed so quickly! As we head back to Budapest, still not knowing what the Lord has for us in the coming years, we feel taken care of. We just plan to be obedient and listen closely. All the believers in the US and Canada came around us in the most overwhelming and exemplary ways. This trip has demonstrated more than Gods greatness. It has shown us that as He uses Sean and I to meet the needs of others, so He uses His church to pursue and fill us. We are truly truly blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful and loving people. And so here we come again Budapest, back to our European family, we know it’s been too long!

Back in February, we retreated. We sought rest with community, individually and with Jesus. We went to share good food, to regroup, grow, strengthen bonds, and enjoy a weekend in peace and sort of quiet. Serving one another, and particularly for us, serving these young adults has been life giving. We feel honoured to walk with a group of people who not only bring us joy and excitement, but challenge, grow and help us in so many ways! God knew exactly what he was doing when He lead us to this ministry and He has been nothing but faithful. So many of our young adults are not even captured here, but none the less Jesus has used each one of them to impact our lives, and we think He surely must be using us in similar ways for them 😉 so much love for all these friends!

We love getting the opportunity to share with others the experience of creating something. There is just something so relaxing and encouraging about watching a vision in your mind transform, develop, and come to life. This Wednesday we led a hand-building pottery workshop at the coffee house. It was a simple craft night but had a great atmosphere of lightheartedness and mindfulness. We got to chat with all those who attended about pottery, relationships, and why art can be so challenging in many ways, but yet so freeing in many other ways. We will be doing this on several Wednesdays coming up, until Christmas!

Here in Budapest, we have the opportunity to participate in the Tuesday night homeless outreach ran by Rosie at the YWAM base. We bring food and resources to those on the streets in need. This outreach seeks to build relationships and trust through repeated visits to the same people. It’s incredible to see the faces of these men and women light up when they see someone coming to talk to them! Most of all, we aim to bring the love of God to each individual through these interactions.

Our first movie night was so great! 🎥 Lots of🍿and laughter! 😄We welcomed many new faces and were happy to see so many people come out to enjoy snacks and good company! Initially, we had only planned the movie night in replacement of our Friday night live music not being on, but after such great feedback and excitement to do it again, we may have to make this a much more regular event! 😃

We wanted to show you the starts of the handmade line called “Handpicked” that Jess brought to life with others at the YWAM Coffee House. So far there are handmade earrings, propagated plants, macramé and also soaps made by another base member! Soon we will see pottery and other pieces join the handmade collection! Gathering to make the earrings was such a great time for fellowship and getting see creation take form and the beauty of it. We are so excited to continue to see where God takes this!

Sean has been helping construct the soon-to-be Recording Studio going in the basement of the Coffee House! This will be such a great resource to bring musicians together to work on their passions and gifts! So excited to share the progress with all of you!
