I’ve been to Lake Balaton countless times
 but there was always one thing that frustrated me: I wanted to visit more wineries, but who’s going to drive? đŸ˜…đŸ·

Well.. Now I found the solution - 46 Balaton Borbusz

It’s Lake Balaton’s first ever hop-on, hop-off wine bus, taking you through some of the region’s best wineries without needing to drive between them or spend a fortune on taxis.

🚌 3 different routes: Old Friends, Hidden Treasures & the brand-new Flavours of the Káli Basin

đŸ· Hop off wherever you want
⏰ Stay around 120 minutes at each stop
🚌 Hop back on the next Wine Bus
✹ Visit up to 4 stops in one day

We did the Old Friends route and stopped at:

Here's how I would spend one perfect day in HĂ©vĂ­z 🇭đŸ‡ș👇

Start the morning with breakfast at your hotel:
- Book budget-friendly accommodations through Hévízi Szobakiadók Szövetsége
‱ For a middle range option choose the beautiful Hotel Spa HĂ©vĂ­z
‱ Or, Ensana Thermal HĂ©vĂ­z for a more luxury stay

Then hop on the Dotto Train and explore HĂ©vĂ­zi Producers' Market, before renting an e-bike from Tourinform HĂ©vĂ­z I love HĂ©vĂ­z đŸšČ

From there:
💩 Swim like a local at HĂ©vĂ­z-patak
đŸšČ Cycle to Keszthely and explore Festetics Castle
🌊 Continue to Lake Balaton where you'll grab a lunch
⛔ If time allows it, jump onboard the sightseeing boat by Nosztalgia SĂ©tahajĂł

One of my favourite food experiences in HĂ©vĂ­z was at Teri Mama VendĂ©glƑje.

We started with roasted eggplant cream (the local way—with a little spicy paprika đŸŒ¶ïž), followed by sesame chicken with broccoli and sweet potato fries, before finishing with a perfectly cooked rump steak served with garlic butter, roasted vegetables and potatoes.

But what made this place special wasn't just the food—it was the warm hospitality and cosy atmosphere that made us want to stay all evening.

If you're visiting HĂ©vĂ­z, I'd definitely recommend adding Teri Mama to your itinerary. đŸœïž

🇭đŸ‡ș Nestled in western Hungary, HĂ©vĂ­z is home to Europe's largest biologically active natural thermal lake - a place where you can swim in warm, mineral-rich water surrounded by beautiful water lilies all year round đŸ‘™đŸŒ±

But beyond the lake you'll find:

- Incredible local restaurants

- Relaxing spas, and wellness facilities

- and so many hidden gems that make it the perfect weekend escape ✚

As part of the HĂ©vĂ­z Dream Job (Álom melĂł) campaign with I love HĂ©vĂ­z, I got to experience the town from a local perspective - from floating in the famous thermal lake to trying HĂ©vĂ­z's traditional mud treatment, exploring the surrounding area by bike, and discovering some amazing Hungarian food. 💚
