In our first eNewsletter, we introduced the organisations behind Brand4Talents. Now it is time to take the next step: our new series will show what our partners have been doing and achieving since then.

We start with our Lead Partner, Scientific Research Centre Bistra Ptuj (SRC Bistra Ptuj) from Slovenia. Besides coordinating the partnership, the team is actively working at local level to address the challenge of young people leaving the region and to strengthen Ptuj as a place where talents want to stay, return and build their future.

🎥 What happens when great ideas meet great people?
At our 2nd Brand4Talents Partner Meeting in Greifswald, we tried something new.
Instead of simply talking about our project, we invited every partner to answer one simple question: What are we going to test together?
The result is a short video where knowledge providers, pilot partners and the Lead Partner explain—in just a few words—how Brand4Talents will help lagging regions become more attractive places for talents through innovative pilot actions, collaboration and shared learning.
Beyond presenting the project, the video also highlights something equally important: the people behind Brand4Talents. Because successful cooperation is built not only on good ideas, but also on committed partners working towards a common goal.
🎬 Have a look and meet the Brand4Talents partnership!

Two productive days at the 2nd Brand4Talents partner meeting in Greifswald, Germany.

Together with our project partners, we reviewed our progress, discussed the next steps for our pilot actions, and exchanged ideas on talent attraction, talent retention and place branding.

Highlights included an inspiring study visit to Szczecin, where we learned from the city's place branding experience, and a visit to Usedom Island, showcasing ta talent attraction and retention good practice.

A big thank you to our hosts, Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald, for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and bringing these ideas into practice!

The afternoon of the second day of the Brand4Talents Partner Meeting took us to the island of Usedom, where the partnership visited Casa Familia Hotel—an inspiring example of how organisations can successfully attract and retain talents.

During the study visit, partners were guided through the hotel and its facilities, gaining exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into its daily operation. Even more importantly, the owner openly shared the organisation's philosophy, management approach, and the key factors that have helped build a motivated, committed team over the years.

For the Brand4Talents partnership, these real-life experiences are invaluable. Understanding what truly makes people choose a workplace—and stay there—is exactly the kind of practical knowledge that will inspire our future pilot actions and governance solutions.

Every successful story brings us one step closer to creating stronger, more attractive regions across Central Europe.

The second day of the Brand4Talents Partner Meeting in Greifswald continued with sessions dedicated to project communication and Work Package 2, both led by EMFIE.

Beyond the presentations, one of the greatest values of meeting in person is the opportunity to exchange ideas, ask questions, and shape solutions together. During today's discussions, partners presented and refined their initial pilot concepts, receiving valuable feedback and inspiration from one another.

These first conversations marked an important milestone on the road towards the pilot phase and demonstrated the real strength of transnational cooperation. We are convinced that this is only the beginning of an exciting co-creation process that will continue throughout the project.

Together, we are turning ideas into actions.

In the afternoon of the 1st day, the partnership participated in a very interesting study visit taking place in Szczecin, Poland.

In the City Hall, we received an engaging presentation about how the major re-branding of the city happened, touching points such as motivation, procurement, design, implementation, public welcome challenges and success factors. Partners received a short guided tour, as well, where we could see the elwments of the branding with our own eyes.

All in all, the session was an interesting experience to see similar actions in reality which our pilot partners are about to implement in the next phases of the project.

💡 From strategy to action—that was the focus of today's morning session in Greifswald.

A key part of the Brand4Talents 2nd Partner Meeting was dedicated to Work Package 1, where pilot partners took an important step towards turning ideas into real local impact.

During the session, partners explored how to transform the project's common strategy into Local Action Plans and Brand Books, which will become the foundation of the upcoming pilot activities.

The programme combined practical guidance with interactive discussions, covering topics such as:
🔹 building effective local teams,
🔹 engaging stakeholders,
🔹 selecting the right methods and facilitation tools,
🔹 and documenting the process to ensure high-quality results.

The lively discussions and numerous questions clearly showed the partners' commitment—and one thing is certain: the coming months will be intensive, inspiring, and full of co-creation.

Stay tuned for more updates from Greifswald!

Over the next two days, partners from Germany, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia will work side by side to advance both Work Package 1 and Work Package 2, bringing us one step closer to creating innovative governance solutions for talent attraction, talent retention and place branding in lagging regions.

We were honoured to receive a warm welcome from the District Administrator of Vorpommern-Greifswald, followed by the Lead Partner, who opened the meeting and set the stage for the days ahead.

The meeting began with the Steering Committee session, where partners reviewed the project's implementation progress, reporting and monitoring activities, and the key tasks awaiting the partnership in the coming months.
