Our massive and versatile backlot is up and running!

Right next to our 12 studio buildings, Astra Filmland’s 72,000 m² (775,000 sq ft) backlot offers a uniquely diverse, fully controllable environment. It was recently inaugurated by a major global streaming production.

From expansive flat ground and rolling hills to forest areas and mountain-view clearings, the backlot can adapt to any creative vision.

It also features a 9 m / 29.5 ft-high integrated blue/greenscreen, a production-ready platform that’s fully flexible to creative needs while delivering substantial savings on VFX builds and workflows.
• Full utilities on site (electricity, water, sewage, restrooms)
• Additional services: mobile storage, security, cleaning, mobile fencing (backlot is unfenced), CCTV, drone-free area

Az Astra Filmland területén nyit vendéglátóhelyet a budapesti bulinegyedből ismert Patisson Kitchen.
A Patisson büfékocsija a Fóti út mellett, a D épület fölött található, kínálata pedig mindenki számára elérhető Astrán belül és kívül.
Reggeli, ebéd, vacsora, egészségtudatos opciók, napi ajánlat, desszert, kávé, szendvics és pékáru, italok - helyben fogyasztásra és elvitelre is.

Nyitvatartás: hétköznap 8:00–18:00

We’re proud to have hosted the filming of the intense, one-take heist sequence from Netflix’s The Helicopter Heist at Astra Filmland. Episode 6, shot in our studio, was brought to life with massive sets and crew, LED volumes, Unreal Engine integration, and intricate lighting setups—an extraordinary technical and creative feat.
We congratulate the talented cast and crew, and we are grateful they chose Astra Filmland!

Something is already in the making on 12,000 sqm of Astra’s 72,000 sqm backlot. Additional backlot spaces with electricity supply are available at Astra Filmland, providing the infrastructure needed for a variety of production needs.

As we have earned a Very Good rating for Albert’s 2025/26 Studio Standard at the annual BAFTA Albert appearance we are sharing some of our acts towards a sustainable film industry.

At Astra Filmland studio spaces, offices and workshops are fully equipped with full-spectrum LED lighting. We operate on 100% certified renewable electricity across the entire site. Our crew manually monitors lighting use during prep, shooting and wrap. Every night a dedicated team walks the site to power down unused areas. This hands-on process demonstrates our active commitment to sustainability even without automation.🌱
