1931 Chrysler CG Imperial Dual-Cowl Phaeton (by LeBaron)

Considered among America's most beautiful automobiles, this masterpiece represented Walter P. Chrysler's ambitious challenge to Packard and Cadillac in the luxury market. Only 85 examples of the dual-cowl phaeton were produced during the brief 1931 model year, making them exceptionally rare.

Styled by Al Leamy (who also designed the Cord L-29) for LeBaron, the design featured aircraft-inspired leather interiors that wrapped over cowls and doors, creating two separate passenger compartments with individual windscreens. The 384-cubic-inch straight-eight engine produced 125 horsepower, delivering a top speed of 96 mph through its four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

Built on a massive 145-inch wheelbase, the Imperial featured advanced steering geometry and hydraulic brakes. The design's enduring attractiveness reportedly inspired the Classic Car Club of America logo. Originally priced around $3,600, these magnificent machines represented Depression-era luxury at its finest.

1968 Dodge Polara Convertible

During an era when most full-size American cars lacked convertible options, the 1968 Dodge Polara represented the sole drop-top in Chrysler's full-size lineup. From 1965 until 1970, the Polara was the only full-sized Dodge available in the U.S. as a convertible.

For 1968, the standard engine was a 318-cubic-inch V8 producing 230 horsepower, with optional 383 V8 upgrades offering 290 horsepower (two-barrel carburetor) or 330 horsepower (four-barrel carburetor). Finding a 440 Magnum engine in a Polara convertible is quite rare, making those examples particularly desirable.

The 1968 models featured square-edged styling and a power-operated convertible top. While a 3-speed manual transmission was technically available, most convertibles came equipped with the 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic. These highway cruisers offered spacious seating and dependable performance for family adventures.

1961 Aston Martin DB4 โ€˜Series 3โ€™ Sports Saloon

The Aston Martin DB4, launched in October 1958, marked a turning point for the brand. It featured Carrozzeria Touring's 'Superleggera' bodywork and a new platform chassis. With a 240hp 3.7-liter six-cylinder engine, the DB4 could accelerate from 0-100-0 mph in under 30 seconds - a remarkable feat for its time. The model evolved through five series until 1963, with improvements including a front-hinged hood, larger brakes, and interior upgrades.

1913 Packard Runabout Model 1-38

Revolutionary for its time, this smaller six-cylinder model became the first Packard to feature both left-hand drive and electric starting courtesy of Charles Kettering's Delco starter-generator system. Chief engineer Jesse Vincent (who later conceived the Twin Six and Liberty aircraft engines) designed an innovative control unit mounted on the steering column, bringing ignition, light, horn switches, and carburetor mixture controls within easy reach of the driver.

The L-head straight-six engine displaced 415 cubic inches with seven main bearings, producing 60 horsepower. Built on the compact 115.5-inch wheelbase, the Runabout measured nearly two feet shorter than full-sized Packards, delivering sportier performance at a more accessible $4,050 price point.

Over 1,600 Model 1-38s were produced in 1913, with the six-cylinder engines proving so successful that Packard discontinued four-cylinder models entirely.
