Probably our favorite beach we've discovered so far😍

We were incredibly lucky to visit Kubu Beach with the most epic scenery fitted with a full on lift - what a treat!

One of our favorite stops in Thailand was Monkey Beach🐒 on the Phi Phi Islands. The water was so unbelievably clear it felt like we were swimming in a giant pool. We also somehow timed our visit really well and at one point there were hardly any other people around which is always great 🤩

What was super interesting was a few locals were telling us how the pandemic has actually given alot of the more popular tourist spots a chance to recover which is one aspect that has been so beneficial for these islands.

How many steps are too many😂

While at Tiger Cave temple, alot of the steps are average height, some literally feel like climbing a ladder straight up 😅

The key thing to remember is: don't give up, you'll thank yourself when you're at the top😉

Hi Tiger Cave Temple 👋

This monument sits quietly above Krabi and is an epic site as you drive toward it.

This temple really tests your willpower : how much do you really want to see what's at the top?

Based on the summit of a cliff it's a hairy 1260 steps to climb to the top (and don't worry, they keep reminding you as you climb, how many steps you have left 😅). It was tough but so worth it!

This was a special one - while the other temples in the area are obviously very easy to reach, once you've reached the top of Tiger Cave you have an incredible sense of accomplishment.

The Blue Pool 💧

➡️ ➡️ ➡️

The pinnacle stop in the Nature Reserve is the incredible Blue Pool. The water nestled within the dark forest has an almost glow-like quality and was definitely nothing like we'd ever seen before.

The pool is only open for a couple of hours everyday and is completely closed for a few months in the year to allow the ecosystem some breathing room.

🚫 You are not allowed to swim in this pool, but once you get there you'll understand why... the pool is so beautifully perfect in its natural setting, we were glad to see it was undisturbed.

The Emerald Pool 💧

The crystal clear lagoon is positioned within the rainforest of Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve, in Krabi and is a natural turquoise blue pool that is supplied with fresh water from natural streams located further up the hills.

The unbelievably blue water is a result of the high limestone and mineral content of the water, and you can take a dip if you're up for it!

This is definitely one of those sights you need to see in person, so if you're ever in Krabi make sure you take the trip!

Visiting Khao Pra-Bang Khram Wildlife Sanctuary

One place we needed to visit while we were in Krabi were the Emerald and Blue Pools.

It was a longer scoot than we had expected (just over an hour and that takes a serious toll on your 🍑! 😅) But so worth the journey 😍

There is an entrance fee (200 baht pp for foreigners) to get into the Nature Reserve and they do limit the number of people, so get there early!

You can fast track directly to the pools along a wide dirt road, but take the boardwalks - you won't regret it! This winding walk is a little longer but it's such experience that builds up to each of the pools 💧💧💧

10/10 would recommend this visit! ⭐️👍

⭐️ Tips for visiting the Big Buddah, Phuket 👇

👉 make sure your attire is respectful, and everything up to your shoulders and knees are covered.
👉 go early! We were lucky enough to visit just before the crowds appeared and we found most places generally start to get quite busy from 10/11am onwards (this is hitting peak heat of the day so you'd rather be in a cooler area anyway!)
👉 rent a scooter and make a day of it. We found the build-up of scooting up the hill to the buddah made the experience extra special. (You're then also in control of your own timeline, always a win!)

But most of all, enjoy the site! It's an incredible spot and not something you see every day - so make sure you take it all in!
