Sëek is a raging new wave hardcore punk unit from Kuantan, formed in 2020 out of pandemic boredom and frustration. Instead of staying silent, we turned isolation into fury and built something hostile, raw, and unapologetic. Influenced by the triangle of S.H.I.T, BIB, and Primitive Blast, we shaped our own sound of sci-fi hardcore punk fury, where stomping riffs collide with pounding drums and venom-drenched vocals.

Our songs are weapons against control and oppression. They spit in the face of police violence, authoritarian power, and a system designed to keep people down. Every track is a middle finger to the state, a rejection of blind obedience, and a reminder that resistance is still alive!
Boredom became confrontation, alienation became sound. Hostile, relentless, and uncompromising, we carry the attitude of 1312 and stand in solidarity with those oppressed. From Kuantan to Gaza, from the streets to the underground, our message is clear: no justice in their system, no peace under their control. 1312 forever. Free Palestine.

TSOPR-051 JALANG / UNSANITARY NAPKIN SPLIT
Jalang destroy 7 news songs, including a cover of their split-mates Unsanitary Napkin from Aoeteroa. Screamed lyrics in Indonesian and English (Alda/Vocals is from Indonesia), hard hitting d-beat drums, heavy and vicious axe attack thats tempered with a catchiness that will groove your bones, and bass to hold it together.

Unsanitary Napkin are a bit more wild in the adhering to strict d-deat genre conventions, they make me think of a lot of great 90’s bands who flaunted punk conventions and just went musically rogue. I love it. They return the favour by slipping in a Jalang cover on their side.

Both bands rage with disgust at world that can sit by as genocide takes place, as women and marginalised people suffer under the boot of a bu****it system. Delivered with a friendly warmness that embraces the listener and allies like the humidity in a sweaty house show. The world is full of horrors but DIY punk can slow a descent in total despair.
