One day, a man walked into a pet store and asked the employee for a parrot. The employee showed him a beautiful parrot with vibrant feathers and an impressive vocabulary. The man was impressed and decided to buy it.
When he got home, he was excited to show his new pet to his family. He walked up to the cage and said, "Hello, beautiful bird!" The parrot looked at him and said, "Hello, beautiful man!"
The man was thrilled and continued to talk to the parrot, asking it questions and having a conversation with it. However, he soon realized that the parrot had a habit of swearing and using foul language.
Determined to break the parrot of this habit, the man tried to teach it more polite language. Every time the parrot swore, he would put it in a dark closet for a few minutes. After a few weeks of this training, the man felt confident that the parrot had learned its lesson.
One day, the man had some friends over for a dinner party. He was proud to show off his well-behaved parrot to his guests. However, as soon as they sat down to eat, the parrot flew off its perch and landed on the table. It looked at the food and said, "Damn, that looks delicious!"
The man was embarrassed and quickly apologized to his guests. One of them asked, "I thought you said you had taught the parrot to stop swearing?"
The man replied, "I did, but I didn't teach it table manners!"
