📍 Little Bondi Beach

Drove down the very tight track, pulled straight onto the beach, had some lunch and let the kids play while we all just chilled for a bit.

The colours here were insane 😍 Definitely one of those spots you’re glad you made the effort to get into.

13 years of marriage in the blink of an eye 🥹

I remember standing opposite you on our wedding day, saying our vows and thinking, no matter what life throws at us - the highs, the lows, and everything in between - if I can always remember how much I love you in this moment, that will be enough to keep us together forever.

Turns out, I was wrong.

Because somehow, after 13 years of marriage and 17 years of us, I love you even more now than I did then.

We’ve grown up together, built a life together, travelled, laughed, struggled, changed plans a thousand times, became parents to our three beautiful kids (twins and then 3 under 18 months😅), and somehow through all of it, you’re still my favourite person.

I genuinely can’t imagine this life without you in it.

Happy 13th wedding anniversary to us 🤍

📍 Macassan Beach, East Arnhem Land

Came out for the morning, got absolutely drenched by the waves and the kids had the best time playing around the rocks with their friends 🥰

The rangers came through and checked our permits, and seeing a few campers set up had us wishing we could stay too - no double axles allowed though😅

We were camped in the West Macs with our friends, Liz and Simon The Lifestyle Pioneers - Liz and Simon Bailey when we decided to take the cars out for the day and explore some of the 4WD tracks.

We made our way out to Birthday Waterhole and Hugh Gorge, through creek crossings, rocky tracks and some pretty incredible country.

Five kids, two cars and a whole day exploring with great mates. This was such a good day 🙌

How good to be back on the water again ☀️

After three months at Ningaloo last year, then selling our van in January and spending months building and moving into the new one, it feels like we’ve been stuck in winter forever.

We’ve missed the heat, the sunshine and days like this.

Safe to say we’re very happy to be back up north… and there’s going to be plenty more of this coming.

Chasing the sun from here on out 🙌

Just out here, catching absolutely nothing 😂 Least the views are pretty 😍

Mainoru to Nhulunbuy. The long leg.

We were packed up and back on the road by 7am, starting the day in thick fog and low sun before hitting some pretty brutal corrugations straight out of the gate at Mainoru.

And that pretty much set the tone for the next 480km.

Corrugations on and off all day, endless red dirt and somehow just about every kind of weather thrown in too - fog, sunshine, heat, cooler patches and even rain.

There’s no option to break this section into a nice, even couple of driving days when you’re travelling through. You can’t simply find a spot along the road and camp for the night, so once you leave Mainoru, you’re committed to the long haul through to Nhulunbuy.

A couple of quick stops and around nine hours later, we finally rolled into camp at about 4pm. Quick wash for the van, set up, then straight to the pub 🙌

It was a massive day.

But after all the planning, permits, kilometres, corrugations and red dirt we made it to East Arnhem Land 🧡
