💙H4C’s Editor-at-Large Rhonda Bannister has been to Bali about 50 times. Some might say that, after 30 years of checking into luxury hotels around the world, she’s a bit hard to impress, so she didn’t expect to discover that all-inclusive in Bali can be world-class. Then she checked into for five nights and, well, to say she was impressed is an understatement!
Eight restaurants – Spanish tapas at Peseta, moody lantern-lit Middle Eastern at Samira, polished Japanese at Tokimeku, and sunset dinners at Kanna Beach where the Indian Ocean glows amber beyond the palms. All included, and the wine list is truly exceptional.
The Reserve adults-only enclave operates almost like a boutique hotel within the wider resort with its own private pool, dedicated beach, Santé restaurant, and beautifully personalised service. For honeymooners or couples celebrating an anniversary especially, the upgrade justifies itself almost immediately.
But what Rhonda loved most was the “Destination Inclusive” concept – Balinese blessing ceremonies, batik painting, Penjor-making, village encounters all folded into the tariff. After countless Bali visits, she says she’s never connected with the culture in such a hands-on way, and nearly two weeks after returning home it’s these cultural connections that really made her feel she got to see a side of Bali – a place so very close to her heart – that few tourists are lucky enough to experience. 🌿
