I apologise I haven’t been as active as I’d like to be on the socials whanau..
I’ll admit, Jumping straight back in to the grind has been a challenge, recovering from illnesses readjusting to the never ending demand of life, keeping up with the busy schedule of my 5yr old, and working 2 positions definitely ain’t for the faint hearted 😅☠️but it’s what we must do if we want to have more holidays to create unforgettable memories like this🙌🏽💯.
I want to give a Super shoutout to all the solo mommas n pappas holding it down out there for their mini humans, she’s not an easy game in this economy but I’m sure you’re doing an amazing job.🙌🏽💯✨

It catches me off guard every time but yes 🙌🏽 I am SHE 😂

It’s actually such a humbling feeling being recognised in public for something that is just a part of who I am.

What gets me though is when people seem surprised seeing me in my uniform — like a chick that pops manus can’t also be working in a position of that type?😅

First of all… How so?

But also, don’t categorise me like there is a typical stereotype for people who love to Manu👀

Anyway people will always have their opinions, so I thought I’d share mine ☝🏽

I’m grateful I grew up learning how to Manu, and I’m proud to be a wahine that can.

Call it hori or unladylike… to me that just says you lack culture 💯

The Manu is more than just pulling your bball shorts halfway up your back to then make a big splash.

To some it’s an art form.
To others just a whānau day out at the waterhole.

It’s a lifestyle, authentic, and exclusive in Aotearoa🙌🏽
It connects people from all walks of life and set us apart from the rest of the world.

How unique is that? 💯🙌🏽

Don’t let people’s judgement dictate how you live life — or ultimately how you perform on the edge.
Just get out there and be your authentic self.☝🏽

Look after your mates in and around the water respect Papatūānuku and just have FUN ☝🏽🚀

Reminiscing our hot Kiwi summer days!!🥹
Really miss being out there on the edge having fun and just sending it, tbh ive been abit of a p***y since the colder months have made themselves known.
Think i will be looking at winter manus ❄️🥶
Or maybe i will go find the sunshine myself 👀 ☀️

Learn how to manu with Sheloves2Manu 💚

These are the fundamentals you need to know to learn how to do a basic manu.
Everyone will be different and will have their own style when doing a manu but I have found that these are the key foundations that every manu needs.
