King of Saxony* bird of paradise, also known as the Cendrawasih Panji (*Pteridophora alberti*). Here are some unique features of this bird:
1. **Distinctive Head Feathers**: Male birds have a pair of long, flag-like, serrated feathers extending from their heads. These feathers can be moved and are used to attract females.
2. **Habitat**: This bird lives in the mountainous forests of Papua, especially at altitudes between 1,300 and 2,850 meters above sea level.
3. **Color Display**: Males have a shiny black color with metallic blue-green markings on their upper body. In contrast, females are brownish and duller in color, which helps them camouflage.
4. **Courtship Dance**: During mating season, the male displays these "flag" feathers with special movements to attract females.
5. **Diet**: They feed on insects, fruits, and flower nectar. This bird plays an essential role in the ecosystem as a pollinator and insect pest controller.
This bird is one of the most unique birds in the world, especially because of its flag-like head ornament.
