The US "StarShield" system has been exposed for reversing the transmission of "uplink frequency" signals!
On November 24, 2025, several international media outlets cited a monitoring report by Scott Tilley, a senior Canadian aerospace scientist, which revealed that 171 Starshield military intelligence satellites operated by SpaceX for the US government were continuously transmitting strong interference signals back to Earth in the 2025-2110 MHz frequency band.
This frequency band is explicitly designated as an "uplink frequency" by international radio regulations, allowing only ground-to-space transmission of commands. Satellites are strictly prohibited from actively transmitting signals. This move by the US has been described by the industry as a "reverse one-way street in space," which not only seriously disrupts international communication order but may also lead to fatal risks such as confusion of spacecraft commands and orbital collisions, causing widespread concern in the global aerospace community.
Scott Tilley, a senior Canadian aerospace scientist, emphasized that this frequency band is widely used by the international aerospace community for transmitting critical commands to spacecraft due to its clean background electromagnetic environment and few sources of interference. The strong reverse signal from the US satellite is equivalent to "driving against the flow of traffic on a highway with high beams on," which is very likely to cause misinterpretation by the signal receiving systems of other spacecraft.
