“I am also thinking about content creating versus the conventional art object that is often loaded with meaning and singular. A more complicated way of saying: maybe this fanfic is just a piece of content with no real meaning...but does the net art object have to have this? Can the form of the internet itself take over? I don't have an answer to these questions, but they are fascinating questions for me” said Kay Min in her last email.

A daring and dubious fanfic based on Live Creative Show. Warning: It won’t be filled with fluff, and the angst you read might hurt. Join the show, link in bio.

Simulation raises questions, assumptions, speculations: how to build a symbiosis of interfaces, materials, media, machines, and users. How do we mediate the ecosystems? We invite curators, creators, artists, theorists, technology practitioners to respond, initiate, produce works, and present an alternative curatorial form.

Hub for internet experimentation, convergence, and knowledge exchange. We blur arts-sciences-technologies to create a possibility for new artistic practices.

Inspired by Kafka’s work “In The Penal Colony”, Forum Lenteng tries to interpret the notion of penal colony in the context of contemporary society. For a year, we have studied and developed that idea which was finally presented on August 2017 through – Documentary and Experimental Film Festival by assigning “Penal Colony” as the festival’s theme. To continue that study and development, 69 Performance Club will frame “Penal Colony” in the form of performance art. “Penal Colony” refers to the prison system by means of exile where its impalpable control system brings compliance to the inmates through the unseen panopticon which exercises the function of surveillance. Our performance tries to improvise our translation on the concept of penal colony in digital era. •

For this 69 Performance Club’s special edition in North Lombok, participants are going to perform in the building of Tsunami Temporary Evacuation Site (TES) of Pemenang District. They agreed on some objects that will be used to be responded and be imagined through the body’s existence to create a new reality of the chosen objects. The space of TES building, which is massive with the background scenery of the mountains and the sea, contrasts with the solid concrete pillars. It will be a challenge for the participants to realize their idea using the chosen objects. Performers’ body and their response to the chosen objects, as well as the space the TES building itself, will disembogue to the participants’ ability to include their sociopolitical and aesthetical framing.
