UGANDAN MUSICIANS & SOCIALITES IN SOUTH AFRICA – CLUB MOON, GERMISTON
Sunday, August 27, 2017 was a memorable day for Uganda’s entertainment community in South Africa as Ugandan musicians, entertainers, socialites and fans came together at Club Moon in Germiston for an exciting gathering celebrating Ugandan music, culture and entertainment.
The event brought together Ugandan personalities who were part of the vibrant Ugandan entertainment community based in South Africa. Among the musicians associated with the event were Wise P, Athen Lyre, Xanaya Mayanja, Mafia 1 Tornado and Fingures Namakaka, whose presence added to the excitement and energy of the occasion.
For Ugandan musicians living and performing outside their homeland, events such as these provided an important opportunity to connect with fellow Ugandans, showcase their talent and maintain the cultural connection between Uganda and the Ugandan community in the diaspora.
Club Moon in Germiston provided the setting for an evening filled with music, entertainment, social interaction and memorable moments. Ugandan fans and members of the community had an opportunity to meet entertainers, friends and fellow Ugandans while enjoying the lively atmosphere.
The event was not only about music. It also brought together personalities from the Ugandan social scene in South Africa. Socialites including Medi More and Alima were among the personalities associated with the gathering, adding glamour and excitement to an already energetic entertainment environment.
The Ugandan community in South Africa has historically played an important role in promoting Ugandan music and culture abroad. Through concerts, club events, social gatherings and community celebrations, Ugandan artists and entertainment personalities have continued to create spaces where people can enjoy music while celebrating their heritage.
