Another official step in my book journey.

An important stop in this whole process: the National Library of the Philippines.

As part of the requirements for my independently published book, Before We Knew They Were Memories, I personally submitted copies to the National Library: two copies to the Bibliographic Services Division for legal deposit and two copies for the Copyright Division.

Placing those copies on the counter and seeing the very helpful person I was emailing for my ISBN (a face to a name! and he was always quick his replies) felt fulfilling... like, at last!

I never imagined I would be walking into the National Library of the Philippines carrying copies of my published book. πŸ’•

Requirements of the physical copies of my books completed. Another milestone for Before We Knew They Were Memories.

This certificate is extra special. πŸ’• I went home for this!

I finally got to personally pick up my Certificate of Registration as an Author/Writer from the National Book Development Board of the Philippines located in Quezon City.

It am holding an official document that represents something very personal to me: a dream I carried for many years and finally had the grit and focus to pursue.

This one is going into my own collection of core memories.

Wendyflor Palomo is a writer, mother of two, and the author of Before We Knew They Were Memories, her first coffee-table book. She spent years documenting the funny, thoughtful, and unexpected things her sons said while growing up, never expecting that these little stories would one day become a book.

Originally from Iloilo and now based in Jakarta, Wendyflor turned her longtime dream of publishing into reality as she turned 50. Before We Knew They Were Memories is independently published, and she hopes its stories will resonate with readers and bring them back to memories of their own lives.

When she isn’t writing, Wendyflor likes to paint and works as a freelance reporter.

Join us in Book Latte on September 26, 2026, 3-5pm for the Book Launching of her first book! For more details, message Wendyflor Palomo Wendyflor! πŸ“šπŸŒˆβ€οΈ

Got this gift from Tita Thel and Tito Freddy of Barong Batik.

Perfect for my gym and field days whenever I go watch my sons' games. Barong Batik has a collaboration with Hydro Flask so this piece has Barong Batik designs on it. It's a stand out!

Chili or Cabe in Bahasa Indonesia

It's been consistenly giving us a LOT of chilis... and Guti loves it. She's actually the one who planted this cabe. You know, she's Indonesian and she loves her sambal every meal. So she gets her fresh cabe for her fresh sambalπŸŒΆπŸ‘
