Plato believed in a world run by philosopher-kings—wise rulers who love truth and justice. He wasn’t a fan of democracy (too messy, he said!) and thought most people weren’t fit to lead. His ideal society? One where everyone plays their part, guided by wisdom at the top.
Aristotle, his student, had a different take. He liked the idea of balance. For him, the best government is one that mixes democracy and aristocracy—run by a strong middle class. He believed in studying real-life governments to see what works best for people.
Plato = the idealist
Aristotle = the realist
Both had HUGE influence on how we think about leadership, justice, and power even today.
