Indonesian women's pole vaulter Diva Renatta Jayadi has set her sights on breaking the national record and securing a gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games. Her determination was further strengthened following a motivational meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace in Jakarta.

Diva is among 12 athletes in Indonesia's athletics squad preparing for Asia's premier multi-sport event. Beyond bringing pride to the country, she revealed that the government's 3 billion rupiah bonus incentive for gold medalists serves as an extra boost to deliver her best performance.

Jayapura, the capital of Papua province, is home to many breathtaking natural attractions. One of the must-visit destinations in the city is Base G Beach.

Located northeast of Jayapura, the beach offers not only stunning natural beauty but also an interesting piece of history. With its soft white sand, crystal-clear seawater, and relatively untouched surroundings, Base G Beach is a favorite destination for travelers seeking peace and the natural beauty of Papua.

According to the Province's official tourism website Visit Papua, the name “Base G” dates back to World War II, when the beach was used as a military base by U.S. troops during operations against Japanese forces in the Pacific. "Base G" was the code name for one of the military posts in Jayapura.
