Ta’jil: More Than Just a Treat, It's a Ramadan Tradition! ✨

In Indonesia, ta’jil isn't just a pre-iftar snack—it's a cherished part of Ramadan culture. The term ta’jil comes from Arabic, meaning "to hasten," reflecting the guidance in the hadith:

"People will continue in goodness as long as they hasten to break their fast." (Narrated by Sahl ibn Sa'd in Sahih al-Bukhari 1957 and Sahih Muslim 1098)

As sunset approaches, streets come alive with vendors offering a variety of sweet and savory delights—from refreshing fruit drinks to warm, comforting kolak. The spirit of Ramadan is truly in the air!

What's your favorite ta’jil for iftar? Share in the comments! 👇
