Our Story

Indonesia Expat is Indonesia’s Largest Expatriate Readership Indonesia Expat has the tagline "Indonesia's biggest expatriate readership" because it claims to reach more expats than any other publication in the country, with a circulation of 16,000 copies every month distributed at over 1,400 distribution points in the capital and across the nation. Its predecessor, Jakarta Expat came out with its first issue on July 29, 2009, and direction for the publication changed in April 2011 when ownership was changed to PT. Koleksi Klasik. A sister publication, Bali Expat, was launched in May 2012 with the same concept and was distributed all over Bali, the Gilis, Lombok and Jakarta. The two were merged in February 2014 and culminated in the advent of Indonesia Expat. The publication is printed on glossy 70gr art paper and features a mix of news and humour, cultural pieces, business columns, opinions, profiles of expats living in the country, events, classifieds, advertisements and more.
