What we tried:
• Original salt bread - 8/10
• Milky madeleine - 7/10
• Matcha madeleine - 8.5/10
Matcha madeleine definitely the winner here. The matcha custard in the middle had a deep matcha flavour which a lot of baked goods usually miss
📍Kurasu, Mall Grand Indonesia
What we tried:
• Salted caramel scone - 8/10
• Goma (black wijen cream, espresso, milk, sea salt, topped with dango) - 8/10
Caramel on the scone was incredibly tasty. Rich and slightly salty. The scone, however, was a tad dry
Goma had a really good balance of flavours. Only critique would be that it’s tinyyyyy. See how I’m holding it with three fingers 😂
📍Donut of Curiosity, Mall Grand Indonesia
What we tried:
• Milk parmesan cheese - 8.5/10
• Banana miso caramel - 9/10
Both these donuts were surprisingly, extremely light on the palette. I was expecting the Parmesan one to be really stinky from the cheese but you just get a whiff of it which is nice. Banana miso caramel, no explanation needed. Tasty ingredients make a tasty donut

What we tried:
• Sop saudara (beef soup) - 9/10
• Bandeng bakar (grilled fish) - 7/10
• Gabin tape (fermented cassava crackers) - 7.5/10
• Perkedel (fried potato) - 6/10
The beef soup was easily one of the tastiest things I had on this trip. The flavour profile is quite similar to that of a Korean beef soup?? Robust, spicy, but not cloying. Perfect with a bit of rice and would definitely recommend
The gabin tape (square cracker in photo) was something I hadn’t eaten before. It’s fermented cassava sandwiched between two crackers (the kind you dip in Milo as a kid). Fascinating flavour profile. Tastes almost like sweet potato but with a slight funk. Also would recommend everyone try
