I was excited to visit the famous Tirta Gangga Water Palace in Bali — especially the public pool everyone talks about.
But when I arrived… it was closed. 😅

Even without the swim, it was worth every minute — peaceful gardens, reflections, and a glimpse of Bali’s timeless spirit. 🌺
Travel isn’t always perfect, and that’s what makes every journey real. 💭

In the mystical northwest corner of Tirtagangga Garden lies the Transition Zone—home to eight symbolic figures arranged in a circle.
Each statue represents a stage in humanity’s transformation: from man to deity, deity to woman, woman to demon, demon to man… and the cycle repeats.
This powerful Balinese Hindu-Buddhist concept reflects Samsara, the never-ending cycle of life, and the quest for Moksha, the ultimate liberation.
A beautiful reminder that every soul is on a journey. 🌼

Tirta Gangga is an old royal water palace in eastern Bali, built in 1948 by the Kingdom of Karangasem.
Famous for its sacred springs, lotus ponds, and fish-filled pathways, this place feels like a living painting.
A peaceful moment where history and water flow together. 🌸

Greetings from the stunning rice fields of Karangasem! 🌾 These endless green landscapes stretching across northern Bali aren't just a visual feast – they're also a vital part of the region's economy. Rice production accounts for 3-5% of the area's GDP and serves as a livelihood for thousands of families.
These lands are sacred grounds where Indonesia's staple food grows, feeding communities and preserving centuries-old agricultural traditions.

I visited the iconic Penataran Agung Lempuyang Temple — the place with that viral “Heaven’s Gate” photo everyone dreams of.
But here’s the surprise: the gate area is now blocked off and you need to pay to take a photo. 🎟️📸

Honestly, it felt a bit disappointing as a traveler. I get tourism and preservation — but moments like this make you question how travel has changed 💭

Still, it’s a stunning place with an unforgettable view of Mount Agung 🌋
What do you think — should famous spots like this charge for photos?

22/10/2025

We thought we’d drive straight to Penataran Agung Lempuyang Temple — but nope! 😅 The road is closed to private vehicles. All visitors are now directed to a shared shuttle area where buses take you up the hill 🚐⛰️

It turned out to be such a unique experience — surrounded by locals, fresh air, and beautiful views on the way up 💚

Sometimes the unexpected detours make the best travel stories ✨

High above the clouds, between mystery and faith, lies Pura Puncak Bisbis — a temple that watches over Bali from the slopes of Mount Agung.
This journey isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about feeling the soul of a land rich in spirit and history.
Through the mist and silence, adventure takes on a sacred meaning. 🌿

📹 Watch till the end — every second is a story of discovery.

High in the mountains of Bali, I climbed hundreds of steps to reach Pura Lempuyang Luhur, one of the island's most sacred temples. At the summit, I discovered why this ancient sanctuary feels so removed from human civilization—it's completely overtaken by troops of wild macaques.
The devoted leave ceremonial offerings of fruits, vegetables, and packaged foods at various shrines throughout the temple grounds. But here, the monkeys have become masters of their domain. Watch as these intelligent primates unwrap packaged offerings with surprising dexterity, feast on ceremonial fruits, and claim every item from the baskets—sometimes even taking the baskets themselves.
This remote mountain temple has become a fascinating intersection of human devotion and wild nature, where the line between the sacred and the natural world beautifully blurs.

After the challenging climb to Pura Lempuyang Luhur, one of Bali's most sacred and highest temples, this is the sight that greets you. At an altitude of 1,175 meters, the temple grounds are home to a large and active population of monkeys. They are the true inhabitants of this sacred place, watching over everything from above the clouds. An unforgettable experience.

Climbing 1,700 steps to reach the sacred Pura Lempuyang Luhur Temple at 1,175 meters above sea level is no easy task — especially when the path is full of mischievous monkeys! 🐒✨
Join me on this short journey through Bali’s “Gateway to Heaven,” where nature, spirituality, and wild encounters blend into one unforgettable experience.
