6 arrested as Nassau police seize fi****ms, co***ne and he**in in major gun-trafficking case
A 14-month investigation into an alleged gun trafficking network has resulted in multiple arrests, the seizure of dozens of fi****ms, and the recovery of illegal narcotics, Nassau County officials announced.
Police Commissioner **Patrick Ryder** said investigators recovered **47 fi****ms**, including several equipped with **high-capacity magazines** capable of holding more than 10 rounds.
According to authorities, the investigation began in **April 2025** after an undercover officer conducted a routine traffic stop that led to the recovery of a single firearm. Detectives said the case eventually uncovered an alleged weapons trafficking operation that supplied fi****ms throughout the region, including sales near a school on the Nassau–Queens border.
Investigators also seized approximately **one kilogram of co***ne** and **150 grams of he**in** during the operation.
The following suspects were arrested:
* **Robert Petgrave, 30, of Queens**
* **Andrew Petgrave, 37, of Queens**
* **Clayton Solomon, 48, of Elmont and Laurelton**
* **Shaheed Folks, 25, of Queens**
* **Raheem Smith, 22, of Jamaica, Queens**
* **Jamari Puri, 35, of Springfield Gardens**
Authorities allege the six defendants have ties to a gang based in Jamaica. Investigators also stated that **Raheem Smith**, **Shaheed Folks**, and **Jamari Puri** were in the United States unlawfully.
Nassau County District Attorney **Anne Donnelly** described the case as one of the largest gun trafficking investigations of her career, saying each of the nearly 50 fi****ms had the potential to pose a significant threat to public safety. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
