The waters that surround the Komodo islands are turbulent and teeming with unparalleled marine life. A marine reserve, Komodo National Park is largely documented and explored. The park includes 132,000 ha of marine waters. It is one of the richest areas for coral biodiversity in Indonesia and one of the richest fish faunas in the world with an estimated 1000 species.
