Tampah, winnowing, or nyiru is household furniture, made from woven bamboo and so on, usually round in shape for winnowing (cleaning) rice. Tampah is also used as a base for tumpeng, and also for drying crusty crackers or gendar. This tool is still widely used by Indonesian people because the tampah is a tool that is relatively cheap and practical to use. Tampah also has other names in each region such as, nyiru (Sundanese); pattapi (Bugis-Makassar); jeu'e (Aceh); niu (Bali); tampi (East Kalimantan)
