I need to share something that's been weighing on me. In my early 20s, during a check-up, doctors found abnormal cells in my breasts. It was a complete shock when I had to undergo a bilateral mastectomy. I felt like my world was collapsing, and I no longer felt like a complete woman. In a desperate attempt to regain a sense of normalcy, I decided to get breast implants, as my doctor suggested.
I kept my diagnosis and the implants a secret at work. But then my coworker Stasy found out. That's when my real nightmare began. She started bullying me daily, calling me hurtful names and encouraging others to join in. It was relentless. One day, hiding in the bathroom, sobbing and feeling utterly defeated, I decided enough was enough.
The next day, I confronted Stasy at lunch, revealing my story to everyone. The room fell silent, and I walked away, leaving them stunned. Some coworkers offered support, and I thought I had ended the bullying.
But then I got an invitation to meet with HR, and the woman who signed the invitation was a friend of Stasy...

I FOUND A PHONE NUMBER & A NOTE SAYING, "THIS IS BETWEEN US. NO ONE ELSE CAN KNOW," IN MY HUSBAND'S COAT — I WAS BLUFFING WHEN I DIALED THE NUMBER TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT

I was happy in my marriage. One morning, as our two kids played nearby, I began tidying up the house. My husband, Denton, had already left for work, and the night before, he’d added an old coat to the donation pile.

As I sorted through the pile, my hand brushed against something in the coat’s pocket. Curious, I pulled out a small, folded note. The handwriting was neat but hurried, and as I read the words, a chill ran through me:

"THIS IS BETWEEN US. NO ONE ELSE CAN KNOW."
On the back was a phone number.

I froze, questions racing through my mind. Who wrote this? What was Denton hiding? That night, I acted normal, even as the note burned in my pocket. Denton laughed with the kids and kissed me goodnight as if nothing was wrong.

The next morning, after he left, I dialed the number.

"Hello?" a woman answered.

"I'D LIKE TO BOOK YOUR SERVICES!" I blurted, unsure if my bluff would work.

"If you have my number, you know the payment terms," she replied. "Come tomorrow at 2 p.m." And she gave me the address.

My dad's small, old bakery was barely hanging on — it was falling apart, and I couldn't do a thing to help. Just when everything felt hopeless, Leo showed up. I knew right away — he was the one. He swept me off my feet, gave me this dreamy winter romance, and made me feel like the most special girl in the world.

"NO WAY, MICHAEL!" Danielle cried. "NO! These last ten days I took care for our dad were a NIGHTMARE! It's your turn, so deal with it!"

Furious, Michael shoved his old dad into his car and drove to his sister's house. He rang the doorbell and hammered on the door. "Danielle, open up!" he shouted. "Come on! My marriage is on the line! My wife will leave me if we take care of this frail old man for one more day!"

Danielle was disgusted, recalling her dad's trembling hands and the occasional drip of saliva that ran down his chin. The man who'd cared for her and loved her had become repulsive to her and she resented him.
