The highest volcano in West Java. It is a stratovolcano. Took me about 10 hours to complete. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

What stands out most about this mountain is the 1-km-wide and 500-m-deep crater.

Would you stay here? A tiny little cabin on the side of a sheet cliff face!

Again this little known area and mountain is called Gunung Bongkok - (not be be confused with Bangkok) located in the Purwakarta area.

Please checkout my reel tonight showing this fanatic place..

Did you know about this place in West Java? It’s called Gunung Padang. It’s a megalithic site which has the potential to be one of the oldest sites of its kind in the world. Radio Carbon dating below the surface has been dated at 25,000 years old. Although it’s been debated whether this is true or not. More research should be done on this magical place.

Quite a lot of the lovely Javanese countryside is scattered in tea plantations. Like this area in Cianjur. The climate is so comfortable too. Its hot and the sun will burn not not enough to make you sweat. If I could pick one place that really stuck out in my mind on the whole of the Java trip its Cianjur.

First pic - aerial shot from above gunung Gede which is in the foreground. And in the background that’s Gunung Pangrango which is slightly taller but not as often climbed. Apparently the view is not as good looking the opposite way.

Second Pic - the waterfall at the bottom of the Cibolas route. Which was the route of my descent, a great way to end the hike coming down to the this waterfall!

The magnificent Gunung Gede located in the Puncak area in West Java. A really interesting hike.

Please checkout my Link in Bio for the latest video as I start my adventure snaking through the island of Java, Indonesia.

But WARNING - Avoid the weekend at all costs! I climbed on a Sunday night, and while at the top of the mountain on Monday morning there was hardly anyone, The route coming up I must have passed 300 people coming down. That was at 10pm!!!

The guide told me that there are sometimes 10,000 people on the mountain at the weekend. It must be a traffic jam. I couldn't handle that.

Weekday Warrior! 💪

Komodo dragons... did you know?

It was once thought that the saliva of these beasts was the thing that killed its prey. But recently it was discovered that they have venom glands and in fact their poisonous bite is what actually kills their food.

Komodo dragons are unusual because they release their prey after biting. They will then hang around as the poison gets to work. leaving the defenceless animal open to get swallowed whole.

Yes humans have been killed by these fascinating animals. Dont get too close ;)

Can you imagine one of these running after you?

They are pretty damn fast to be honest. I saw this one running after a rat.

In this area of Rinca island in Komodo national park they are used to humans now. But in some areas of the park they literally see us as food.

Not to be messed with and not to be underestimated.

Starfish.

Everything underwater, no matter how strange has purpose in the food chain, the underwater economy.

These sea stars will eat pretty much anything they can get their "hands" on and they can move faster than you would expect.

Diving in the waters between the Gili islands and Komodo national park in Indonesia.

This trip was incredible. And even though we sailed and dived through a relatively short area of Indonesia. The biodiversity is amazing. Each dive as we edged closer and closer to the famous Komodo national park got better and better. The current got stronger. The coral got more colourful and the fish bigger and more of them.

As always, a pleasure to dive with
