Researchers synthesized a dibutyl tin (IV) N-ethyl benzyl dithiocarbamate complex to examine its structure and antibacterial properties. Characterized by FTIR and NMR, the compound showed an octahedral geometry and was tested against Salmonella typhimurium and Propionibacterium acnes, showing moderate to weak antibacterial activityโ€”indicating limited potential as a new antibiotic.
