You are truly blessed to witness this. ❤️
Many may not know — the Kaaba once had two doors during the time of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). Both doors were at ground level: one for entering and the other for exiting, making it easier for people to pass through.
This remained for generations until the Quraysh rebuilt the Kaaba before the Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Due to limited resources, they reduced the structure and permanently sealed the western door, leaving only one elevated entrance.
Later, during his caliphate, Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr (RA) reconstructed the Kaaba according to the wish of the Prophet ﷺ and restored the second door.
However, after his martyrdom, Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf ordered the Kaaba to be rebuilt again in the form established by Quraysh — closing the second door once more.
Today, the Kaaba has only one raised door. The location of the second door remains hidden behind the wall, though its traces can still be identified from within.
A powerful reminder of the original design — built with ease and accessibility for the people.
SubhanAllah, witnessing such history is truly a blessing. 🤍
