What happened at Agape cannot be told through one voice alone. It takes many. And these four trusted this platform to share theirs.

With only four episodes released, the response has already been overwhelming. I’ve received so many messages from men wanting to share their stories — and while scheduling didn’t align this month, that doesn’t mean their voices won’t be heard.

Because of that… Agape is continuing into March.

The building may be closed.
But the stories are not.

Agape Boarding School is closed.

But the trauma didn’t close with it.

Four voices.
Four perspectives.
Decades of impact.

• A staff member’s wife
• A student who later became staff
• A former student
• A former student from the 1990s Washington Agape era — before the relocation

Different roles. Different decades.
Same system.

This wasn’t a “bad season.”
This wasn’t one rogue leader.
This spans generations.

The physical abuse.
The emotional control.
The fear-based environment.

Closing a building doesn’t erase what happened inside it.

Tomorrow, survivors speak. And we listen.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that Wendy from Season 2 has lost her mother.

She is also facing the difficult responsibility of sharing this news with her brother in assisted living — the same brother she bravely spoke about during her episode. She did her best to bring love and light to all. Patricia is a mom and a fighter but the fight is getting difficult. She is on hospice care at her nursing home.

the amount of comments I receive or look at about justifying abuse is just sickening especially when they use Gods name in it too. Jesus would be flipping tables yall 🤮.

Season 3 is changing — out of care, not convenience.

I know this podcast isn’t easy to listen to.
These stories are heavy. They carry grief, anger, truth, and wounds that many are still living with.

For some, listening means finally feeling seen.
For others, it means being triggered, overwhelmed, or needing to pause and breathe.

I want to honor all of that.

This season, I’m moving away from weekly episodes and into monthly drops so listeners — especially survivors — can choose their own pace.
You can binge if you need answers or validation right now.
You can take your time, step away, come back later — without guilt, without pressure, without feeling like you’re falling behind.

This platform was never meant to rush healing or force consumption.
It’s meant to hold space.

Some months will include full series. Some won’t.
The stories will be released when they’re ready — and listened to when you are ready.

February will focus on Agape Boarding School.

The holidays carry a strange kind of magic — one that can sparkle and ache at the same time.

For some, this season is filled with warmth and light.
For others, it’s heavy — marked by the loss of family after leaving the cult, strained or broken relationships with parents, or the absence of loved ones who should still be here. If that’s you, I want you to know: you are seen, you are not weak for feeling this, and you are not alone 🤍

As 2025 comes to a close, I am endlessly thankful for the love, support, and trust that surrounds We Are One Podcast. This community has been built on courage, truth, and the quiet bravery of survivors who chose to speak when it wasn’t easy.

Looking ahead to 2026 feels powerful. New series are coming. New stories will be told. And more brave survivors are ready to step forward and expose the truth — creating ripples of healing far beyond this platform.
