Balancing a full-time job and pursuing my education has been a relentless journey, especially when doing it all on my own—managing administrative tasks, writing publications, working on my dissertation, and conducting wet lab experiments. Every late night spent on my biomedicine research, diving into multi-omic studies to advance healthcare, is pushing me closer to my goal. It’s not easy, but when you're committed, the journey itself becomes a victory.

A huge thank you to Prof. Dr. dr. Dwiana Ocviyanti, Sp.OG(K), M.P.H., as the chair of my doctoral defense, for the guidance and support throughout this journey. 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

I'm thrilled to share that my research paper has been published in the Scopus Q2-indexed journal JAMIA Open by AMIA (American Medical Informatics Association)! 🎉

Titled "IDeRare: a lightweight and extensible open-source phenotype and exome analysis pipeline for germline rare disease diagnosis," this paper presents a novel approach for diagnosing rare diseases through phenotype and genotype analysis.

This work was inspired by the challenges of rare disease diagnosis in developing countries like Indonesia, where national guidelines are still emerging. By leveraging international phenotype terminology standards as inputs, such as Human Phenotype Ontology from The Jackson Laboratory; SNOMED-CT from SNOMED International; LOINC from Regenstrief Institute, Inc.; ICD-9 CM procedure, ICD-10 diagnoses codes from World Health Organization, Orphanet, and OMIM, we aim to bridge this gap and enhance diagnostic capabilities.
